Donohue recently led noteworthy improvements to the Marquette Area Wastewater Treatment Facility in Marquette, Mich. Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) Director Phil Roos recently toured the facility to celebrate these improvements enabled by a $12.5 million loan supported by EGLE’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund, with $5.87 million in principal forgiveness. Infrastructure upgrades under construction include a new waste receiving station; modifications to various pumping, post-aeration, and ferric chloride feed equipment; and installation of new security fencing and cameras to safeguard the facility’s operations. https://lnkd.in/gwGxbrbB #Marquette #Michigan #Donohue #wastewatertreatment #EGLE

Congratulations to the Sheboygan Water Utility on this achievement! In 1997, Donohue established its first office in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Twenty-seven years and thousands of projects later, we've had the privilege of working on impactful water initiatives like this one, which will benefit the community where our journey began for generations. #Donohue #SheboyganWater #engineering #waterindustry
After monumental efforts by hundreds of individuals over many years, the Sheboygan Water Utility's new 6,500 foot intake pipeline and raw water pumping station are now in service. The new station is seen at center below, along with new shoreline protection revetment and existing shore groins. The pipeline is delivering more uniform raw water (lower turbidity) to the water treatment plant, resulting in less use of aluminum sulfate and improved efficiency. Great thanks to the utility staff members, design engineers/consultants at CDM Smith and Donohue, general contractor CD Smith and its many subcontractors and workers, Lake contractor Kokosing, regulators and loan officials at WI PSC and WI DNR and WI DOA, US EPA and directed spending program federal ARPA funding program administrators, local elected officials and city staff, and the Utility's customers in support of this project that will serve the community for many decades.
